Next year, I plan to sleep through Christmas.
Here are my reasons why:
1) Our bodies are AMAZING holograms of sacred geometry design. I'm into this because "natural rhythms" are what I teach, primarily, the female monthly hormonal body clock, which mimics the moon, the seasons, and other natural rhythms in the universe. Anyhow, understanding the losing and gaining of light (of energy), is crucial for making decisions for optimal health and wellbeing, and the Solstices and Equinoxes show us how this is done over and over and over again. The moon and sun patterns move slightly over eons but throughout one's human life they are steady and predictable.
2) The questioning of the timing of Christmas is well-documented. According to the stories told, the signs surrounding the birth of Christ indicate a different time of year (spring perhaps?). On top of it, the holiday traditions observed at Christmas aren't true to the purpose anyway, but rather a mish-mash of stories as well as a direct rip-off of Celtic celebrations that honor the sun (the Solstice, not the Son). In this way, both observations are messed up and dishonored.
Holding Christmas at this time of year for us in the Northern Hemisphere is hard on our natural rhythms, and therefore our health and wellbeing (I don't take issue with Southern Hemisphere celebrations because the light is at its height). It's no wonder there is major depression during this season. All of this running around, partying, shopping, and/or preparing for visitors takes high energy. Being that it's the darkest time of the year, our bodies are naturally supposed to be resting, sleeping, and visioning. This extended sleep time is what heals and rejuvenates our bodies. There is simply no better time for it, nor will it happen at any other time of the year. Nature's intelligence is right in front of us guiding us if only we'd listen.
Going back to bed now.- Suz <3

What I did not consciously know then but recognize now is that I refused to override the perfect balance of Original Design with baptism into Patriarchy, the most dangerous imbalance our world has known.
