If you’re new to practicing the 4 Seasons in 4 weeks (4s4w) approach to the hormones, and are in the free Facebook group, you’re hearing a lot about “Treasure Tools”. If you’re a seasoned 4s4w practitioner, then your Treasure Chest” is most likely quite full by now.
But what do I mean by Treasure Tools?
Treasure Tools are physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual support items or practices to access in order to help you find balance and comfort throughout every phase of your cycle.
Tools look like things such as high or low energy music, calming or stimulating essential oils, nurturing foods, exercise, focus, or clothes that bring your vibration into the alignment of loving who you are.
How they work:
Identify things that take you in certain energetic directions: For instance, when you need to rest during Week 1, an eye pillow, calming books, time carved out, mellow movies, calming essential oils, nourishing soups, and guided meditations, etc. are tools for helping you to relax and give you permission to rest (since we have a hard time giving ourselves permission to rest!).
If you’re feeling depressed during Weeks 2 or Weeks 4, then choose tools that will lift your spirits (such as fun music that you know will make you smile right off) or, actually take you deeper into the depression in order to take a look at the source of the problem. Only do this if you are an experienced 4s4w practitioner and mentally understand that your depression (in this case) is a phase and temporary.
Your body is always looking for balance and comfort. It’s a major survival skill. Since our female hormonal rhythm takes us through a predictable sequence each month of varied experiences, you can prepare ahead of time. It’s not easy to get the right balancing tools when you’re in the middle of your Week 4, Firewalk, for instance.
The idea is to have them BEFORE you need them!
Gathering tools for your monthly cycle Treasure Chest is one of the most important parts of your cycle experience, giving you power and skill over something that could otherwise have power over you.
